Today I had computer issues so I am on site now. I am sitting here blogging on my lunch break. I decided to forgo leaving for lunch today. I also agreed to stay until 7pm tonight. That is an hour and thirty minutes past my regular schedule. Yay for a little OT. I think I will going to the gym right after work. After that I may stay on campus and hang at the library for a while. I am currently still working on my second novel, working on a new serial (mostly mind work on that, the story is still evolving) and reading The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. I want to write a play based on the story. At least I think I do. I am only on chapter 4, but I will likely finish it tonight, because I hate taking a long time to read books, and I want to know what happens. :D) So far, the book is interesting. Mostly because I find Oscar Wilde very amusing and quite apt at spewing philisophical nonsense from the minds of his characters. But other than that, nothing has happened yet. I am hoping to get to the meat of the story soon. I have underlined several favorite and memorable lines from the book so far. Want to read them? Well okay, if you insist:
1. (He)"...had set himself to the serious study of the great aristocratic art of doing absolutely nothing." (It's comments like these that endears Mr. Wilde to me. I love his humor.)
2. "Examinations, sir, are pure humbug from beginning to end. If a man is a gentleman, he knows quite enough, and if he is not a gentleman, whatever he knows is bad for him."
I will only list those two right now, because I need to go back in less than a minute.
That's all for now. :)
