Long Time No Post...
Okay, there is sporadic and then there is SPORADIC! lol It has literally been years since I have written on this blog. For some reason during the past couple of weeks, I have gotten the itch to write here again. So much has happened in my life. The most major, life changing thing has been the death of my brother. He died almost a year ago, and it's still strange and hard to believe almost. It was sudden and unexpected. One of those, shocking deaths, where the family did not expect it. He was 33 years old, and he had a massive seizure. We never got an autopsy, so we don't know anything beyond that. Brandon's death kind of changed who I am a bit. I had always been the oldest of three. Now I am the older of two. lol I mean Bran is still my brother, but he lives in Heaven now. Here on earth it's just Tina and I. :) I miss him. I liked having a brother. I know he is having a good time in Heaven though, so it's great to know I will see him again at some point.
In other news, my first novel The Wages or the Gift is coming out this year. I am very excited about it. It has been a fun process. I am currently working on the edits that my editor sent me a few months ago. Yes a few months ago. It took me while to get started on them because of my company. Oh did not mention that I started a theatre company? That is something else that has happened since the last time I wrote here. I started with two friends who graduated with me. We call the company Certain Curtain Theatre. I love it. We are still getting started and we have a long way to go, but running a theatre company has been a lot of fun. Anyway, that is why I am behind on my edits, but I am working on them. :)
For many years, I did not date anyone. Then last year I went out on three dates. Two of them were with the same guy. It was a racy year for me relationship wise. lol This year I have not had any dates, but I did get invited to coffee tomorrow, so I guess that will be my first date of 2014. The guy is cute and fun to talk to, so we shall see. :) More later. :)
Yeah, I know. But I will try to make it less than a year before I write again.

A Post about the Previous Post.
It was not a current post. It was from 2008. Long time ago. lol :) It was a draft that I thought I lost, but I realized I had not. So I tried to see if it would allow me to post it for the date I wrote it. It did not. As an update dowel rods are amazingly fun, as was everything else that had to do with my advanced acting class. I need to go to bed because I have to drive back to Tulsa in the morning. That's all.
Yeah, you know I know.
Surprise :) I am writing on my blog!!!!!
I know, you are excxited, my faithful albeit starved readers, but today I am going to do a little blogging. (hi from sara) Has anyone ever gotten a smoothie that was really a roughie? I did today. I was sad, because I had just explained to my friend that I was choosing a smoothie that they don't mess up. And they messed it up. It so hard to get a good smoothie. Anyway, I am sitting in New Testament Survey, my teacher has ADD, bless his heart, but he is funny. :) Poke fun: Riducule, openly demean, but with a smile, because people don't take offense when you smile. That is what I learned today in Bible class. :) I am very jocular today. IT'S LIKE BROCOLLI! Okay, most of you will have know idea what I mean, but I said that earlier to describe my excitement over learning about different tools and stage stuff in Intro to Technical Production. I had all kinds of wonderful thoughts of hammering and sawing, and I was actually excited about it. I know, I am quite a strange girl. But anyway, that was earlier. Oh and I was kidding earlier, I did learn more than how to poke fun, and actually my teacher repented and said poking fun was not something Jesus would do. :) We actually learned about canons and such.
Today I bought a dowel for acting class. I am excited about what I will do with it. It will be an adventure. For those who don't know, I didn't before I was told to get one, a dowel is a round stick. As I understand it is not to be used to poke people in front of me or to gently smack them on the head. Bummer. Just kidding....probably.
Chris is writing on Sara's back. That is just random info for those who were curious about how the A team spends their time in class. :)
hey all you losers who spend your time reading Roz's blog (This is Sara btw...which means by the way for those who are dumb and know nothing of internet slang) I am just here to quote the professeur Labash

Happy New Year! lol
Social convention says I say that the first time I see someone in 2012, right? Yeah, I know, dear blog and blog readers, it's been quite a while. I finished Patches. YAY! I finished it on February 27, 2012. :) Now I am going back through my first novel to see if there any areas I want to tweak before the editors get the book. :) I am very excited that it is being published. I hope it happens soon. I have several next projects lined up, and right now I am just trying to decide which one needs to be conquered next. My BFF has Patches right now, she is reading and editing it for me before the second draft.
I have changed my work schedule again. Now I start work at 6 AM. This is early. I get off work at 2:30 PM. This is cool. :) Also today is my Friday. I get off a 2:30 on my Friday. :)
Well, that's all for now. Just wanted to get some 2012 entries started. BTW: It's just nine days to The IDes of March. :D) YAY!

On Site for a bit...
So I am "In the office" today for a little bit, but I am going home at lunch. Today has been a good day. Much better than yesterday. No weird veritgo like almost fainting issues. Yay! Might have been something I ate. In other news, I am a little concered about going back outside now that the sun is up, but hopefully it will be okay. I will only be out there for a bit. I hope all this medicine is working. I seem to be better, so I hope that's the case.
ION:
Today we had a pot luck and our manager bought pulled pork. It was yummy. I ate two sandwhiches. :D) Good breakfast. Anyway, I thought of an interesting idea for a play the other day. I want to write something for one person. I am not exactly sure how it will work though. I am very curious. Anyway, right now Patches and The Wages or the Gift are still my priorities. Time to get back to work.
More later...
yeah I know.

I am at the office today. Not my office, the other one. The one where I actually have to get in the car and drive to a separate location. I was lured here to participate in some kind of golf tournament, however, there does not seem to be any kind of event happening around here. Sure people say it's happening, but I am already almost done with my lunch break, and no one has said anything to me about golf. I am so ready to go back home. Yesterday I was in a lot of pain, and while I feel much better today, I really want to get out of the jeans I am wearing and into more comfortable clothing. I only have one break left, then an hour and forty minutes (I was a few minutes late signing in because I could not remember how to do it on the phone. lol) and I am going home. I'll update at some point.
That's all

Update on Mission Finish Patches as Soon as Possible (FPASAP)
Okay, so I have been working on finishing the novel. I am kind of stuck, but inspiration is coming soon, I can tell. I am very excited about this point in the novel. Things are really heating up and roaring toward the showdown and the conclusion of the story. Fun times. :)
In other news, and this is very exciting. I am not sure if I mentioned it here before, because I did not read all of the last post before posting this one. Also I don't remember if this was decided when I posted last. Oh, yeah, you are waiting for what the other news is and tired of my rambling. lol Well, as I was saying, in other news, I am going to publish my first novel. I am pretty excited about that. Very excited indeed. Because I am not sure of the exact details, I so I will post more as I know more. :D) EXCITEMENT GALORE :D)

Mission Finish My Second Novel
Okay, so I am going to make this official. Yes, I do consider blogging about my intentions as making them official. I am finishing Patches ASAP. Since I am not sure about the last time I mentioned Patches on my blog (if ever), I am going to explain a bit about what I mean by finish Patches. It's my second novel. Soon after I finished my first novel (by finished I mean had gone through several revisions), I started writing my second one: Patches. Since then a lot has happened. I ended up publishing my own magazine, became the leader of the journalism department at my church, ended up returning to school for a degree in Drama/Television/Film, etc. All of this happened without ever finishing Patches. Poor novel has been in limbo for years. Sad story. So now I feel like I need to get it done, and that is my goal for now. I have so many other stories that I want write (including a couple of stage plays that I am pretty excited about) but I need to finish this novel first.
In other news, I am really excited about how the Lord is moving in my life right now. He has made some things a little clearer and He has lit a fresh fire in my heart. So life right now is pretty exciting for me. I am really looking forward to the things that are ahead. I am still completely gun ho about South Korea too. I can't wait to get there. I have never had a love for another country other than my own until now, but I love South Korea. Not quite as much as I love the USA, but still, I am almost 100% positive I am going to enjoy my time there. :D)
Well that's all for now. I hope all my readers **wink** are having a great Sunday! :D)

Well...
Today I had computer issues so I am on site now. I am sitting here blogging on my lunch break. I decided to forgo leaving for lunch today. I also agreed to stay until 7pm tonight. That is an hour and thirty minutes past my regular schedule. Yay for a little OT. I think I will going to the gym right after work. After that I may stay on campus and hang at the library for a while. I am currently still working on my second novel, working on a new serial (mostly mind work on that, the story is still evolving) and reading The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. I want to write a play based on the story. At least I think I do. I am only on chapter 4, but I will likely finish it tonight, because I hate taking a long time to read books, and I want to know what happens. :D) So far, the book is interesting. Mostly because I find Oscar Wilde very amusing and quite apt at spewing philisophical nonsense from the minds of his characters. But other than that, nothing has happened yet. I am hoping to get to the meat of the story soon. I have underlined several favorite and memorable lines from the book so far. Want to read them? Well okay, if you insist:
1. (He)"...had set himself to the serious study of the great aristocratic art of doing absolutely nothing." (It's comments like these that endears Mr. Wilde to me. I love his humor.)
2. "Examinations, sir, are pure humbug from beginning to end. If a man is a gentleman, he knows quite enough, and if he is not a gentleman, whatever he knows is bad for him."
I will only list those two right now, because I need to go back in less than a minute.
That's all for now. :)

New Beginnings...
Tomorrow, I start my first day in my new position. I am excited. I am praying that everything goes well. Today work is going along nicely; I already had my first break. An hour from now, I will have lunch, and two and half hours later my second break. Then only an hour and half until I go home. :D) That's for everyone who was itching to know the ins and outs of my schedule at work. lol Yeah, I know. Anyway, in other news, I started the dishwasher this morning. You may ask why is this noteworthy? Well, it's noteworthy because starting the dishwasher has been on my to do list for about five days now. Maybe not five, but at least three. :) Anyway, I took care of that, also I finished a very unsatisfactory drama recently. I hate it when writers make unjustified choices. I don't have to agree with every choice a character makes, but there choices need to make sense in the context of the story. In said drama, the choice of the main character came at a time when nothing was pushing him to make his choice, in fact everything that would have made the choice make sense had been resolved. So why did he make the choice. There was nothing in the story line that made this particular choice necessary. It annoyed me, especially since I liked the story until that point. The ending was okay, I mean they did leave the story with hope for the future, but still.
Anyway, in other news, I am still praying about a fundraising idea to help pay off my huge ORU bill so I can get my degree. I have had a few ideas, but nothing has geled yet. God is faithful though, so I know something will work out soon. I ordered a book on Korean, that should be arriving on Tuesday. I am so excited. I have checked the book out of the library, and I like the way it teaches. I think I can learn a lot from it. I am will be so happy when I am fluent in Korean. When I don't have to have subtitles to know what people are saying. I get excited on the occasion, that I can tell some of what a person is saying without the subtitles. I can understand an average of 15% of what people are saying. That needs to be increased. :D) By the time I get a job over there, I want to be a decent conversationalist at least.

Exciting Happenings :D)
Today, I found out that I will be going into trainging soon for a new job position that I am really excited about. Actually, overall today has been really nice. I woke up at 6:35 AM, which is early for me, but I was able to sleep last night. Thank the Lord. I watched both episodes of The Bachelorette. Gonna blog about that over at . Anyway, on with highlights of my good day. I ate breakfast and drank a large amount of cold coffee, yummy stuff. So far I have a had a good day at work too. I am not in any pain. I have many things to be thankful about. Also I realized something else about myself. I think it's important to pay attention to what touches your heart. I cried this morning watching the Bachelorette. No, this is not about a relationship thing at all. On the group date they went to an orphanage in Thailand. (A place that I really want to visit one day. Maybe I will while I am in S. Korea.) But anyway, when they started talking about the kids at the orphanage, it touched my heart. This is not the first time that has happened. I wonder what it means. I am praying about it...
Well, that's all for now.
Hope everyone else is having a lovely day, and for those who aren't I hope it gets better. FIGHTING! :D)

Almost my weekend!!!! :D)
And I am so ready for my break. I wish it was coming on the weekend this time though. My graduation is Saturday, and my best friend is having a shower that day as well. The shower is in the middle of the day, so I can't go unless I take off work, which because I have bills, I can't really afford to do. I haven't decided yet though, I may actually go, I am not sure. Graduation is also on Saturday, and I want to go to that too. After all I will be officially getting my bachelor's degree. I will definitely get to go to the hooding cerimony on Friday night. I am excited about that. I have traditionaly perferred the hooding cermony over the school wide graduation, anyway. Saturday night there is a graduation party, and if I stay in town and work, I am going to go to that definitely. Or I guess I could work and then go to Conway late. Or I could plan to go to Conway in the future on an off day and hang with Jen and help her out with whatever she needs for that day. I think I will plan for that, because I really can't afford to miss work. Wow, writing helps you decide. Yay! :D)

Tickled Red, Purple, and Black
Hee...hee....I am a very happy girl right now. Just so you know. Yesterday I moved into my apartment. Moving in cost completely broke me financially, so things will be very tight for the next two weeks, but I could not be happier. The apartment is great. I had my first and hopefully last (but I am not holding my breath) slip on the stair last night. I was almost to the bottom, and it was dark so I could not see so my foot slipped a bit. Other than a little skining on arm, it turned out fine. I managed to put everything away that I brought into the apartment, and I managed to completely clear out the space where I was living before, except for my TV and my Vacuum Cleaner. I need help moving the TV, and I simply forgot to grab the Vacuum cleaner. I will pick it up tomorrow probably. Tonight I want to go and see showcase, and then work on the apartment and unpacking some more. I am hoping to start working on my the first act of my senior play tonight as well. That's all for now.

My New Apartment
My life is an infinite state of transition right now. It's interesting. Next Friday AKA April 1 AKA April Fools Day, I am moving into my new apartment. Eight days later is my deadline for passing the swim proficiency. Two two weeks after that my entire Senior Project is due. Then, I guess I will have graduated, well except for the final class that I have to take this summer: Tennis and the enormous bill that I have to pay off by the time the class starts (Which is in July.) If I am successful in all of these transitions, His strength rules, I will be applying to teach English as a second Language in South Korea. Talk about a big transition! lol And if that goes well, and I reach my goal of becoming fluent in Korean, I am going to apply to do my grad school training there, maybe. That last one is a new thought. I may not like it there as much as I think that I will. Who knows. I just pray that the Lord leads me in the direction that He wants me to go and all will be well. Life it keeps on going, until it stops I suppose. Gulp. Yeah, I know.

Happy Thursday (To Me)
I know. It's actually Monday morning. For me, however, it's Thursday, and tomorrow which is actually Tuesday - AKA The IDES OF MARCH, AKA my Birthday, is actually my "Friday". So what will do with post Birthday off days? Well, I am not really sure yet. You would think I would eat left over Birthday cake, but actually I am not getting Birthday cake until the actual Friday, which oddly enough is my Monday. :D) lol If you are completely confused, and I hope you aren't because I do aim to be clear, I work Friday through Tuesday and then I am off on Wednesday and Thursday. :D) Anyway, today has been really interesting as always with this job. It's rarely dull, except when it is... :D) I am already at my first break. It is interesting how fast the time goes by. Before I know it, I will be at lunch again. Then time will go really fast because I left my lunch at home and will have to run home and get it. That will take my whole break. Sigh. I tried to rememebr it, but alas I forgot. I know. Not the first time, probably will not be the last. It will be harder in a few weeks though because I will be living farther away from work. It's not that far away, but there will be a increase in possible traffic. Okay good news. I got two hours of overtime tonight. I am very excited. I will go home at 5:30 or so and come back at seven. This is my first official overtime. I am excited that mean two hours at time and half. Praise the Lord. Need more of that. lol

It's Friday!
Okay so for many people Friday means the weekend, but on my schedule Friday is kind of like my Monday. lol It is the beginning of a five-days in a row stint of working. Today has been a good day so far. I have my first opportunity for overtime tomorrow, but it will only be for about thirty minutes. Still that will be great. Also I graduated from training today. YAY!!!! In other non-work related news. Yesterday was a very good day. I had a nice relaxed morning at home, and then I drove back to Tulsa (without the aide of Five HOUR ENERGY!) and then I called my best friend and had a nice chat, afterwhich I went to a wonderful and impressive new play reading, and then I got some much needed advice, from a good friend. I have to say it was a good day. :D) Today, after work I am going to go home for a little bit and work on my room, before I figure out where to go to get online so I can get some work done. Well, that's all for now. Yeah, I know. More later...

It's Monday...
Top of the Monday to you! I hope everyone out there is having a wonderful, Monday morning. It has been going okay for me so far. I am at work. Working. Waiting to work some more. :D) (<-- I made that one up myself.) Today my roommate gave me chinese food. Which was really nice of her. I love chinese food, so I am looking forward to lunch. In the past, when I got an hour for lunch I would leave, but today, I only get thirty minutes, so I will be staying here for lunch from now on. No venturing off to Nord's for me. My first "off day" during the week is Wednesday, and I am taking a trip home to Texarkana. I am only going for a day so I get a normal driver's license again. Right now, due to an unfortuante melting incident, my driver liscene is round and in two pieces. After next week, it will be nice and new though. Good until I am 38 years old. :D) lol Speaking of getting older, my birthday is in eight days. For the first time in a long time, I am already used to my new age. So interestingly enough, it won't be hard for me to remember that I am 33. Usually it takes a few months for me to ease my way into the next higher number. Don't know what this change signifies, but it is interesting. Anyway, I am going to stop rambling for now. I am hoping that some issue will spark the desire to give my oppinion so I can type a new "What ROZ THINKS ABOUT THAT" blog.

Too Early to be Sleepy...
It's not even nine am yet, and I am already sleepy. Tonight is the opening night for Lucky Stiff. It's a wonderful musical, so everyone in Tulsa, needs to come and see it. Our run is from Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 PM and Sunday at 2:00 PM this week at Howard Auditorium on the Oral Roberts University campus. I am a excited about it. :) That's all for now, but I will probably blog again before the day is over because it keeps my mind engaged so I don't fall asleep at work. :D)

Second Blog this year!
This is my second blog of two thousand 11 :D) YAY for me. I pretty much have nothing to say right now either. So I am just going to type for a bit. Today has been pretty good. I am grateful to God for that. I have taken a lot of calls, and I am pretty sure they have been successful. YAY! Tonight is our final dress rehearsal for Lucky Stiff. The show looks amazing, and I have learned a lot through the process. I look forward to doing more directing. It's fun. In other news: I think I like my senior play. I am waiting to hear back from my teacher about it, but hopefully I can start writing it soon. I am writing this like a journal entry, so if it shows up on my Facebook feed, realize it's just me rambling. In my downtime of the last hour of or so I have taken it upon myself to make another list of plays to purchase and read. Want to know about the 6 plays on my current list. Well, if you are actually still reading this you just might. :D) I found all of these plays at dramatists.com a site that I do indeed frequent.
Back of the Throat by Yussef El Guindi
This one is about a man accused of being a terrorist. Sounds like it would be a good one to direct. Yeah, I actually am thinking like a director when reading plays lately. I like powerful stories. Granted there is always the chance it will be a disappointment, but it certainly sounds promising.
None of the Above by Jenny Lyn Bader
This one is about a girl who was expecting a drug dealer, when a SAT tutor comes to her door. I heard a monologue from this one once, and I am curious about the rest of the story.
The Pain and the Itch by Bruce Norris
This one is about a privilaged yet dysfunctional family. The description made me curious. It could go either way.
The Red Velvet Cake War
by Jessie Jones and two others
The description called it a Southern-Fried comedy. Can't get any better than that. I love plays with food. I love food, oh sorry, I am getting off track. On with the list.
Absalom by Zoe Kazan
I looked into this one hoping that it would have something to do with story of David, but it turns out it's the story of a family reunion. Sounds fun.
Ruined by Lynn Nottage
This is a pulitzer winner, and it's a rough story. I have had it on my list for a while. I was just waiting for dramatist to get it so I would not have to pay $11.00 for it. I am $7.50 girl. :D)
Anyway that is all of my list so far. It will probably be a couple of months before I can actually purchase these, but I will get around to reading them. If my blogging notions continue, I might even write about what I thought of them. Anyway, that's all for now. :D)

Has Anyone Seen..."You Don't Know Jack"?
Okay, so it has been years probably since I have written a blog. I was just looking at the SAG Award winners online, and I came across an HBO mini on Jack Kevorkian starring Al Pacino as Jack. I don't get HBO, but it looks like it should be interesting. Anyway, time to go off break. Laters. :D) Yeah, I know.
